2011 Grammy’s Delivered Over The Top Entertainment

Keith Urban won another Grammy last night, male country vocalist for “Till Summer Comes Around”.  The award wasn’t shown on the program it was announced before the show even aired.  Keith did get some air time though honoring Dolly Parton by singing her song “Jolene” with Nora Jones and John Mayer (or was that Johnny Depp?).  Anyway it was one of the highlights as far as I was concerned.  As for the rest of the show, overall I thought it was pretty entertaining I even thought the whole Lady Gaga “egg” entrance was entertaining.  That’s what we expect from the Grammy’s right?  Weird outfits and strange performances (remember Cher’s head dress, and every Grace Jones appearance?).  I grew up watching the Grammy’s just hoping for that over the top stuff.  Bravo, the show delivered last night.
