Summer in WNY mean lawn fetes. The word fete means to celebrate or honor with a festival, a feast or elaborate entertainment, and in Buffalo and surrounding WNY it means you are going to have a FANTASTIC time with friends and family.

Other states don’t use the word. In fact you can pretty much guarantee that they are going to look at you like you are speaking toddler gibberish if you say lawn fete and no matter how long they live here, transplants will probably struggle with the term -- opting for carnival or fair or festival.

Looking over the "fete" schedule we know it is going to be hard for us to hit them all, even though we may try.... And since everyone seems to have their OWN lawn fete we are sure we missed a couple. So help us out and add them in the comments!
