Kevin Harvick is off to a great start to the 2018 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series.  He drove to his third straight victory Sunday and the ninth of his career at Phoenix Raceway.  He led 38 laps including the final 22.

It's Harvick's 40th career victory and the first time in his career he's won three in a row.  The last driver to do that was Kyle Busch in 2015.  But it was a frustrating day for Busch who was forced to settle for second place for the second week in a row despite leading a race-high 128 laps.  The jack slipped on his final pit stop costing him three seconds and that made the difference.  The closest he got to Harvick in the final laps was half a second.

Chase Elliott came in third with Denny Hamlin and pole sitter Martin Truex, Jr. completing the Top 5.

Kyle Busch won Stage 1.  His brother Kurt Busch took Stage 2.

Stewart-Haas and Joe Gibbs Racing each put all four of their cars in the Top 10.  For Stewart-Haas it was the first time in their history they were able to do that.

One more race out west - next weekend it's Auto Club Speedway in Fontana, California.
