A bizarre story happened today at an assisted living facility in Buffalo when a 94 year old man shot at workers who were trying to transport him.

According to WGRZ, the man lives at Mary Agnes Manor on Porter Avenue in Buffalo.  The workers were trying to transport the man to ECMC for a psychiatric evaluation when he started to threaten them.

He told them that he was armed and that if they tried to take him, he would shoot.

The workers including two paramedics, one maintenance worker, and several other facility employees didn't take him seriously and continued on with their work.  However, he was being honest with them.  He was armed.

That's when he pulled out a .38 revolver from a pocket on his walker and fired a shot that lodged into the wall behind the maintenance worker.

The man was then tackled and disarmed.  Luckily no one was hurt.  The man is now at ECMC for a psychiatric evaluation.
