Congratulations to the students of Buffalo Prep on their hard work. I was sent an email asking to spread the word about the good things they did for Olmsted Parks in Buffalo.

According to Grace O'Connor:

Friday was a special day at Buffalo Prep where students participated in our first annual Prep Goes Green event!  Hundreds of students helped with service projects with the Buffalo Olmsted Parks Conservancy at Delaware Park and the University at Buffalo.  The students also planted a flowering pear tree in front of Buffalo Prep’s future home at Allen Hall on the University at Buffalo South Campus.

Over 220 Buffalo Prep students participated in the first annual “Buffalo Prep Goes Green” event, which involved planting a commemorative tree at the site of the organization’s future home on the University at Buffalo South Campus. The facility’s upgrades will allow Buffalo Prep to offer more services and welcome more students. It is set to open next year.
