When was the last time you enjoyed a Red Stripe?  Beer lovers all over the world know about Red Stripe.  It is probably one of the most famous beers to come out of the Carribbean.  Last night after cooking some steaks on the grill, I found myself in the mood for a cold beer.  I made the trip to my local convenience store and while contemplating what the choice would would be, I noticed the rack of 16 ounce cans of Red Strip that seemed to be saying, "Buy me". It had been a while since I had enjoyed a Red Stripe.

As I sat on the patio and poured the Red Stripe into a waiting beer glass, I noticed that this brew has such a nice color and makes a nice foamy head (very reminicent of a Molson Stock Ale).  As I took a sip of this delicious Jamaican beer, I examined the can and found out something I was not aware of.  This beer I was drinking was not from Jamaica! No, it was actually brewed in St. John New Brunswick. Wow! Jamaican beer from Canada.  The secret is out, but you know, it really doesn't matter as Red Stripe is terrific beer no matter where it is brewed.
