A very good friend of mine has been living in New Orleans since leaving Buffalo about 30 years ago. He is a movie set designer and builder so it makes a lot of sense that he is based out of New Orleans. Many big movies have been filmed there. One of the reasons my friend decided to stay was the fact that he fell in love with the culture of the city. One of the largest events in New Orleans is undoubtedly Mardi Gras. People come in from all over the world to participate in this party. My friend keeps inviting me to check out the Mardi Gras in New Orleans and perhaps someday I may get there.
