It took four tries, but the Buffalo Sabres finally found a way to beat the Tampa Bay Lightning. And it was a pretty impressive team effort.

Jack Eichel and Cody Franson each had a goal and an assist while Chad Johnson stopped 30 of 31 shots in a 4-1 win.  Johnson made some spectacular saves in Buffalo's fourth win in the last five games.

Eichel's goal came on a first period power play then he set up Franson's goal just 48 seconds after the Lightning had tied it.  From there the Sabres concentrated on shutting down the Lightning attack until Marcus Foligno scored his first of the season to give Buffalo a two-goal cushion.

Rasmus Ristolainen iced it when he scored into an empty net.

The Buffalo victory ends the season series between the two teams. The Sabres now move from Tampa to Miami where they play the Florida Panthers on Thursday night.
