You may not hear "Please turn off your electronic devices" on flights this weekend. Delta and JetBlue were the first two to announce the new plan effective immediately.

According to Yahoo:

The airlines were the first to announce Friday afternoon that their plans to adopt the new FAA rules on personal electronic devices were approved, and they say they will implement the plan immediately.

Each airline had to test its fleet for electronic signal tolerance and come up with a plan for implementing the new policies, and all had passed. Many other airlines are expected to announce the 'go-ahead' for the policy very soon.

Alec Baldwin has to be jumping out of his seat in excitement!
