For the first time in 19 years, Alabama is performing at the CMA Music Festival. They'll kick of the June 5 show at LP Field.

The band announced their addition to an already stellar lineup, tweeting, "Excited 2 announce we are kicking off #CMAFest at LP June 5. First time in 19 years! What do you wanna hear?#ALABAMAsetlist @CountryMusic."

They join previously announced performers Florida Georgia Line, Keith Urban, Rascal Flatts, Brad Paisley and Little Big Town. 'Automatic' hitmaker Miranda Lambert, Darius Rucker, Blake Shelton, trio Lady Antebellum, Jason Aldean, Dierks Bentley, Luke Bryan, Eric Church, Brantley Gilbert, Hunter Hayes, Tim McGraw, Thomas Rhett, the Band Perry, Chris Young, Zac Brown Band and more are also set for the CMA Fest.

Although Alabama has been around for a long time, their impact on country music continues. Lead singer Randy Owen was inducted into the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame (NaSHof) last year, and this summer the band will hit up several other music festivals and fairs.

The 2014 CMA Music Festival LP shows will take place June 5-8, with country music fans all over the country converging in Music City. In addition to performances, the festival also features autograph signings and lots of fun activities. For information on tickets, lineups and more, visit the CMA Fest website.
