"We're just window shopping."  It's something people used to say when they were just looking.  Businesses used to put up elaborate displays in their front windows so that people walking down the sidewalk, would stop and see what that store was selling.  That's where the phrase window shopping came from.  Now, an album capturing some of those window displays has sold at auction for a pretty large sum of money.

According to The Buffalo News, an album that contained pictures of the Kleinhans Department Store window displays from the 1930s went to auction and sold for $13,000.  These weren't just any pictures though.  These were silver prints mounted on linen, and there were 220 of them.

Remember all those times your mom stopped to take a picture of things and you rushed her along?  I bet there are a lot of people wishing they had stopped to take it all in now.
