I understand a parent that likes to bond with their child.  I understand a parent that wants to make sure that their child is eating food that is safe for them.  I even understand a parent that cuts up food into tiny little pieces so that their child doesn't choke on them.  This however, I do not understand.  Why would you chew your child's food for them??

When parents are cute with their children people say, "Awwwww."  I would imagine this makes people say, "Ewwwww!"

Someone please explain this to me.  I don't like to sound like a person who has a closed mind.  But this practice just seems absurd to me!  Don't children learn to chew their food by practicing it?  When do you say, "Enough is enough" and let them start to chew it by themselves?  Isn't this a great way to pass along sickness to your child too?  And what does this parent do when they know they're sick?  Does the child just not eat?

I don't get it.  If you do, please help me understand why you'd do something like this.
