AM&A’s Opens In Buffalo

This had to be a real treat for those old enough to remember the days when AM&A's was part of a Holiday tradition!

Channel 7 is reporting that the old AM&A's building was open for one night only!

According to the report from last week,

...the doors at AM&A's will open Friday (12/7) from 6 to 11 p.m. for a photography and visual arts show.

I remember AM&A's being a part of our family's traditions each Christmas. Shopping downtown and enjoying the amazing window displays that AM&A's had will always be a vivid part of my childhood memories. My father made an entire day out of it. We would eat lunch somewhere downtown and visit the gingerbread house in The Hyatt!

It would be great to see Buffalo make a retail comeback of some sort. I realize that shopping in the Elmwood Village is starting to become popular and it would be great to see the same for the downtown area.
