Amherst Residents Angry About New Proposed Hotel

Residents in the Town of Amherst are pretty worked up over a proposed new hotel.  Nearly 200 people showed up to a town meeting to try and convince the Zoning Board of Appeals not to approve a 6-story, 137-room Hyatt Place Hotel that would sit right behind the Lord Amherst in Snyder.  The developer, Iskalo, is asking for 9 variances to the zoning ordinances, but residents feel it's too big of a hotel in too small of a space.  The board will have a decision on the matter in February!
