I was lucky enough to have gone to the CMA Awards in Nashville last week. It was pretty cool to see the whole experience live from the red carpet to the awards to the party afterwards. It's like a city that never sleeps but, with my limited amount of sleep I still snapped some pictures. Check 'em out.

When I got to the carpet it was a way more "planned" event than just showing up than walking down into the show. I figured I'd get there kind of early and got there and barley anyone was there yet, thinking, "I must be at the wrong end of the carpet or something" haha. Come to find out each star waits in line in their limo or Escalade or in Brantley Gilbert's case, his motorcycle to go down the carpet. So there's about 30 limos in a line and about every 5 minutes they would let a new car come down the line. By about 6:30 everyone is in the building and we could begin drinking our $10 rum & cokes. The awards started off-air with Love & Theft, who will be at our WYRK Winter Taste of Country, handing out Station of the Year Awards. Some of the highlights for me afterwards were Tim McGraw's new tune, the killer Band Perry performance, Eric Church adding 'Born to Run' during Springsteen, Keith Urban & Zac Brown performing together. All of the personalities on WYRK shared their thoughts on each performance as the night went through and you can check that out here. Here are some of the pics.

While I was there I got to watch the taping of the CMA Country Christmas Concert with some of the biggest names in country. Lady A, Keith Urban, The Band Perry, Colbie Callait, Martina, Dierks Bentley and more performed and I have tons of pics that will be up at wyrk.com before the show airs on December 20th.
