New York State Governor Andrew Cuomo wants the strictest texting while driving laws in the entire nation.

Currently, there is a six-month suspension for teens caught texting while driving in New York, but now the governor is proposing that anyone caught under the age of 21 texting while driving will loose their license for one year.

It sends a strong message for sure. According to the Democrat + Chronicle:

He [Cuomo] also proposed revoking driver’s licenses for five years for drivers with two drunk-driving convictions in a three-year period and full revocation of driver’s licenses for those with three convictions. Currently, getting two DWIs within 10 years leads to a minimum one-year suspension.

What do you think of this proposed law? Should it be for all ages? Do teens text and drive more than adults?
