She's 8 years old and attends Alden Primary School. Her name is Emily Eberth and she's this week's Good Kid of the Week.

Despite being diagnosed with juvenile diabetes two years ago, Emily has adjusted to it amazingly and always remains positive.  Earlier this year she set a personal goal to raise $3000 for JDRF in hopes of finding a cure.  We all thought it was out of reach, but with Emily's determination and hard work she did it.  Emily walked in the JDRF Walk for a Cure alongside other families affected by juvenile diabetes.

She's an inspirational little girl and I hope that one day she can live a life without diabetes and know that her work paid off.

Emily wins a $15 Archcard to McDonald's and a WYRK Good Kid t-shirt courtesy of Custom Tee Identity Ink in Kenmore.

Congratulations, Emily Eberth!
