Brett Alan

What would you like to know about me? I’m a WNY native, born and raised in Springville, and I haven’t really left the nest much. I live in Eden now with my wife Brandi and two kids Madelynn and Maverick. They kind of run my world and that’s how I like it. But when I’m not taking them from place to place, my newest hobby is taking Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. I’ve been taking that for about two and a half years now, so it’s not uncommon to find me at my dojo. I also own a sound system, so I’m busy…a lot. Down time? I don’t get a lot of that, but when I do have some time to relax, I love to fish, camp, hang out by a fire, play some poker and generally anything that involves hanging out with friends with some ice-cold beers. I love Buffalo for its seasons. Although I'm admittedly not a fan of being cold, I love outdoor sports like skiing and snowboarding. I never have enough time for that though through all the shoveling and snow blowing.

Country Stars Who Have Thrown Better First Pitches Than Snoop Dogg [VIDEO]

Snoop Dogg has proven to be much more than the gangsta rapper that he started out as.  He has opened many avenues for himself on the big screen, the small screen, comedy shows and more. But after his first pitch throw yesterday at the San Diego Padres game, I'm thinking he won't be taking up baseball any time soon.

The Tools I Wish I Could Give to My Son

Today my son turned 10. This year, I got him tools. He got real grown up person tools.  He got a 16 ounce hammer, a couple screwdrivers, pliers, the whole thing.  He even got a bag to carry them in.  It’s what he asked me to get him and I did, but I couldn’t help but think that they were really just a symbol for what I really want him to have.
