We head over to the Air Force this week to find our Hometown Hero. It's Senior Airman Patrick Little.
If you didn't join us last night at Elegant Builder's Raceway in Lancaster last night, you missed out! Last night was Chevy Night. We had a blast, and it was a huge success. With so much to do from the grudge racing to the burnout pit, there was a whole night of excitement to be had.
We get calls at the radio station all the time asking for advice on music for a couple's first dance at an upcoming wedding. Really, a first dance should be something that is special to the bride and groom. Don't worry about what other people think. This is your wedding. You get to choose! But if you need help with a few suggestions, you know that we are all too happy to help with that.
You may have heard my rant last week about how Abercrombie & Fitch CEO Mike Jeffries and said he wanted only "cool kids" to wear his company's clothing.
I wasn't the only person who was outraged about it. One guy in particular is doing something about it. I think it's a great plan!
While growing up in my parents house, we often played board games on Sunday afternoons. We played them all, from Monopoly to Sorry and everything in between. One thing was for sure, though. If the directions weren't simple, we weren't playing it.
Lizards are scary! Think of how you would react if a big old reptile almost the size of you suddenly came walking up next to you. You would probably jump a little too!
Ah yes...graduation! You've been waiting four years (maybe more in my case) to get out of college and into the real world to start your new job.
But first, you have to put together a resume. You've been taught to use resume "buzzwords" to make yourself sound better. However, if everyone overuses these words, they're not really buzzwords, are they?
I've always said that I never want to wish away my kids' childhoods. By that I mean I'm never going to say, "I can't wait until I don't have to do ___ anymore." You can fill in the blank with whatever you'd like. But there's something to be said, too, about kids gaining a little independence and also taking a bit of a load off of their parents.
It's easy to sit on a big lawn mower and cut the grass on level areas. But what do you do about unruly grass in those unruly areas? Well, if you're the Chicago International Airport, you get a herd of goats.
We would like to send our sincere thanks to our Hometown Hero Of The Week! This week it is Army Sgt. Josh Haslely. Originally from Newfane, Sgt Hasley is currently serving in Afghanistan.
One thing's for sure: Country music is here to stay. Here's proof.
While we could go on and on about the things that you might find at Saturday's World's Largest Yard Sale, just keep in mind that it could literally be anything. With that thought in mind, I headed to Facebook to see what the coolest thing was that you have ever found at a garage/yard sale. Some of the answers might surprise you.
