Dale Mussen

I've been doing this radio thing for 40 years now. I've been a part of the morning show since 1986. Ever since I was a kid, I've loved to read. I read the newspaper each day nearly cover to cover, nearly everything except the classifieds. I’m a lifelong Bills and Sabres fan and I've been a regular in the press box of both teams since 1979. You’d think in all that time one of those teams would win a championship! Four cracks at it for the Bills and two for the Sabres and they came up short each time. I was born in Buffalo and raised in Tonawanda. I went to college at Niagara University and since Clay went to Canisius, we get to tease each other twice each year when the Eagles and Griffs meet to play basketball. I began buying records when I was just a kid and have held on to that vinyl all these years. I have a lot of old 45’s in their original sleeves. I bet a lot of millennials have no idea what I’m talking about. Another thing I began doing when I was a kid was riding a bike and I haven’t given that up either. In addition to radio another thing I enjoy doing is officiating high school football. I’m entering my 32nd year doing that.

Buffalo Sabres Fall Short Against Columbus

Despite missing two key players the Buffalo Sabres turned it a great effort against the Columbus Blue Jackets Tuesday night but just couldn't solve Columbus goaltender Sergei Bobrovsky.  The Blue Jackets scored a pair of first period goals and it was enough for a 3-1 victory.

Buffalo Sabres Honor Brian Gionta, Beat the Florida Panthers

It was quite a night for Buffalo Sabres captain Brian Gionta.  Before their game with the Florida Panthers the Sabres honored Gionta for playing in his 1,000th NHL game and with his wife and kids along with his mom and dad looking on the team presented him with a silver hockey stick and a piece of artwork depicting him during a game.

3-Goal Second Period Carries Buffalo Sabres Past Toronto Maple Leafs

For the sixth year in a row the Buffalo Sabres won't be going to the playoffs, but it sure felt like a playoff atmosphere Saturday night at KeyBank Center when the Sabres hosted the Toronto Maple Leafs.  And it sounded as if there were as many Leafs fans as Sabres fans in the building with equally loud chants of "Let's Go Buffalo" and "Go Leafs, Go".

The Utility Tax Is Out For Now

The squeaky wheel gets the oil and once taxpayers in North Tonawanda found out about it they got pretty squeaky.  What they found out was that the North Tonawanda School Board had intended to implement a 3 percent utility tax as a way to close a $1-million budget deficit.  During Wednesday's board meeting the board announced they are abandoning that plan.
