Dale Mussen

I've been doing this radio thing for over 35 years now. I've been a part of the Breakfast Club morning show since 1986. Since I was a kid, I've loved to read. I read the newspaper each day nearly cover to cover – usually not the classifieds though. I get a lot of ideas for my Daily Data segment just by reading the paper. I’m a lifelong Bills and Sabres fan, and I've been a regular in the press box of both teams since 1979 -- but I'm still waiting for one of them to win a championship! Four cracks at it for the Bills and two for the Sabres, and they came up short. I was born and raised in the Buffalo area. I went to school at Niagara University, and since Clay went to Canisius, we get to raz each other twice each year when the Eagles and Griffs meet to play basketball. I have a large collection of records. I'm one of the few that still has the old vinyl, including a lot of old 45s in their original sleeves. Some kids probably have no idea what I'm talking about at this point. My favorite things to do in my spare time are bike riding and fixing things around the house, and each fall, I officiate high school football games.

Buffalo Sabres Outmuscled By St. Louis Blues [AUDIO]

It was one of those games where if he was still in charge, the fans would have been calling for Darcy Regier to be fired. Even with the hiring of Pat LaFontaine and Ted Nolan to fix the Buffalo Sabres, there's still a lot of work to be done.

Jimmie Johnson Wins Sixth Cup Title

It was almost a formality. Jimmie Johnson had such a huge lead entering the season finale at Homestead-Miami Speedway that all he had to do was finish 23rd or better to earn his sixth Sprint Cup Championship.

He came in ninth, and that was good enough for his sixth career title, putting him just one behind the NASCAR Cup Series all-time record holders, Richard Petty and Dale Earnhardt, who each won seven.

Buffalo Bills Rout The New York Jets [AUDIO]

EJ Manuel and the Buffalo Bills were embarrassed in their first meeting with the Jets this season, losing 27-20. Manuel had one of his worst games of the season, upstaged by the Jets rookie quarterback Geno Smith. But what a turnaround in the rematch.

Changes At The Top Inspire Sabres To Win Over Toronto

It had come to the point where going to Buffalo Sabres games just wasn't fun anymore. Some season ticket holders ended up just giving away their tickets, and they had a hard time convincing people to take them. I had come to the point where I dreaded going to games because I couldn't stand watching the Sabres sleepwalk through games.

Sabres Housecleaning Now Complete — Dale’s View

Since late last season when the Buffalo Sabres were playing at their worst and the fans at First Niagara Center were so quiet you'd think they were paying their respects at the funeral of a friend, there was one fan who would always bellow "Fire Regier." He always picked the perfect time to do it too, because everybody was thinking the same thing.
