Dale Mussen

I've been doing this radio thing for over 35 years now. I've been a part of the Breakfast Club morning show since 1986. Since I was a kid, I've loved to read. I read the newspaper each day nearly cover to cover – usually not the classifieds though. I get a lot of ideas for my Daily Data segment just by reading the paper. I’m a lifelong Bills and Sabres fan, and I've been a regular in the press box of both teams since 1979 -- but I'm still waiting for one of them to win a championship! Four cracks at it for the Bills and two for the Sabres, and they came up short. I was born and raised in the Buffalo area. I went to school at Niagara University, and since Clay went to Canisius, we get to raz each other twice each year when the Eagles and Griffs meet to play basketball. I have a large collection of records. I'm one of the few that still has the old vinyl, including a lot of old 45s in their original sleeves. Some kids probably have no idea what I'm talking about at this point. My favorite things to do in my spare time are bike riding and fixing things around the house, and each fall, I officiate high school football games.

Traffic Light Cameras Pulling In Big Bucks

My brother in law was telling me he got a traffic ticket in the mail the other day for going through a red light. There he was – a picture of him driving his car – showing the car and a close up of the license plate and a bill for $300. It’s becoming a huge moneymaker in some cities. It brings in money and at the same time cuts down of traffic violations.

What Was That Stench At The Buffalo Sabres Press Conference? [AUDIO]

The Buffalo Sabres made it official on Tuesday by removing the interim tag and naming Ron Rolston the team’s permanent head coach. Rolston took over the team in February after the dismissal of Lindy Ruff and led the team to a 15-11-5 record in the 31 games he was behind the bench. Rolston becomes the Sabres’ 16th all-time head coach.

Traffic Lights Aimed At Bicycles?

There’s a growing number of cities across the country that have installed traffic signals geared specifically for bicycles. Denver, Minneapolis, San Francisco, Seattle, Washington, DC and about a dozen other cities now have signals at some major intersections that show the outline of a bicycle in green, yellow and red lights notifying a biker whether it’s safe to cross.

Upset Winner At Talladega [VIDEO]

A long day and a wild finish at Talladega. Matt Kenseth dominated the day. He had the best car, leading 142 laps but David Ragan got a big push from teammate David Gilliland on the final lap – seemingly coming out of nowhere to overtake Carl Edwards and win the Aaron’s 499.

Could A Buffalo Team Win It All?

I won't even get into here because most people already know how I feel about the Bills and Sabres and when they'll win a championship, if ever.  But there is a Buffalo team that's in the running and could bring a title back to the City of Good Neighbors.

Have Any Concept Of What A Billion Is?

We were talking yesterday about Facebook and its 1.1 billion accounts. It took a little over eight years to reach that level, but most of us just don’t have a concept of how big a number one billion is. And for Facebook to reach that level of users in eight years is incredible.

More Drama At Talladega This Weekend?

Penske Racing lost its appeal to overturn those tough penalties handed down by NASCAR to the teams of Brad Keselowski and Joey Logano's cars for illegal parts found at Texas Motor Speedway. After a nearly five-hour meeting, a three-member appeals panel unanimously rejected Penske’s argument.
