Next Season of ‘Desperate Housewives’ Will Be Its Last
ABC has announced the upcoming eighth season of dramedy ‘Desperate Housewives’ will be the show’s official swansong.
The news caught some by surprise, since stars Teri Hatcher, Felicity Huffman, Marcia Cross, and Eva Longoria are all signed on through 2013, and ‘Housewives’ creator Marc Cherry has said he wanted the series to run for nine seasons.
Cherry won’t serve as executive producer/showrunner this fall, but he’s expected to be involved as a consultant while also developing other shows for the network.

Keith Urban Would Consider Doing a Mash-Up
Mash-ups, made from blending pieces of at least two songs into one new creation, have been a mainstay of club DJs for years, but they didn’t gain mainstream appeal until ‘Glee’ began featuring them regularly during the TV show’s musical numbers.
The ‘Glee’ mash-ups, including a Halloween-show mix of Michael Jackson’s ‘Thriller’ and the Yeah Yeah Yeah’s ‘Heads Will Roll,’ have inspired even country megastar Keith Urban.

New Study Says Impulsive People Weigh More
We all know eating too much and moving too little can add a little extra around the waist. But can your personality lead to weight gain too?
A new study published by the Journal of Personality and Social Psychology says it’s possible.
Three researchers from the US Department of Health and Human Services followed nearly 2,000 people over a 50-year life span and found those who were more impulsive were likely to be about 24 pounds heavier than those who weren’t. They also found that subjects who weren’t terribly friendly may experience “a greater increase in the Body Mass Index across the adult life span.”
