People will complain about some officiating calls and reviews but when it comes down to it – the Buffalo Bills got beat up physically by the Cincinnati Bengals in a 23 to 20 loss.  The Bengals offense rolled up 458 yards against the Bills.  And after leading by two touchdowns at halftime, the Bills offense only generated a field goal in the second half.  The Bills (3-1) have looked so good in the second half this season but just didn’t show up in the final 30 minutes.

The Bengals benefitted from a controversial incomplete pass call on what looked like a completed pass for a first down to Steve Johnson in the final two minutes.  It forced the Bills to punt and the Bengals drove 56 yards in the final 1:48 for the winning 43-yard field goal.  But it shouldn’t come down to one play….or an officiating call…or a review.  The Bengals were the better team and they deserved to win.

Ryan Fitzpatrick completed 20 of 34 passes for 199 yards.  The Bills were held to just 83 yards rushing and 273 total yards.

The Bills host the Philadelphia Eagles next week.
