I'm a big fan of music, all genres.  If it's melodic, catchy and it evokes some type of emotion....its good stuff to me.  I'm also a big fan of local talent.  I attended a local school for performing arts where kids filled the halls with dance, paintings, music an more.  Maybe that's where my love for local talent began??  If you looking for the best country music band in Buffalo....I'd say West of the Mark.  To me they are or at least were the "tightest" (excuse the street lingo) country band on the small local scene.  My favorite group/duo overall hails from Williamsville, New York and are known as the Doyle Brothers.  The two brothers (Ryan and Todd) have good original material, but they cover the"hell" out of old school and current tunes.  Many describe them as "young guys doing old songs in a new way!"  Ryan and Todd came from a family of musicians and it shows in the duo's harmonies.

The Doyle Bros. have shared the stage with names like....Sir Paul McCartney, Elvis Costello, Crosby Stills & Nash, Crowded House, Stevie Wonder, Pearl Jam, Ben Harper & Relentless 7, Jamiroquai, The Hives, James Morrison, Corinne Bailey Rae, The Gaslight Anthem, Joshua Radin, Mary Mary, Robert Francis, They've also opened for Brett Michaels, The Black Eyed Peas, De La Soul, The Gin Blossoms and Boys Like Girls.  Not bad huh.....

The two do a lot of gigs in New York and around the US, but never forget home.  I try to make as many shows as possible when they perform at local establishments like Glen Park Tavern, 800 Maple and Anderson's Frozen Custard....just to name a few.  You should search these guys out on the net and find a tour date that works for you.  I'm guaranteeing you will enjoy yourself.

In the meantime enjoy some of these.....
