Congratulations to former Buffalo Bills general manager Bill Polian.  On Saturday he was elected into the Pro Football of Hall of Fame and will be enshrined during ceremonies in Canton, Ohio on Saturday, August 8th.

During his stint as Bills general manager from 1985 to 1993 Polian assembled a roster of players that went to four consecutive Super Bowls.  He started by signing quarterback Jim Kelly and center Kent Hull out of the United States Football League, then hiring Marv Levy to coach the team.

Polian was responsible for bringing five players (Kelly, Thurman Thomas, Andre Reed, Bruce Smith and James Lofton) plus coach Levy to the Bills who all went to the Hall of Fame.

Other players also in the Hall of Fame who played for the Bills include O.J. Simpson,  Billy Shaw, Joe DeLamielleure plus owner Ralph Wilson, Jr.
