Isn’t there some way we can just forget the rest of the season and start thinking ahead to next year?  The Bills season that started out so promising has collapsed into an ugly mess of turnovers, missed assignments, dropped passes, poor tackling and all adding up to six straight losses.

Sunday’s loss to the Chargers was ugly when you consider the Chargers were struggling too and had an identical 5 & 7 record coming in.

Ryan Fitzpatrick was especially bad with a number of off target throws and a couple of interceptions – one of them returned for a touchdown.  He was only 13 of 34 for 176 yards.

The defense had another bad day giving up gobs of yardage, but one bright spot was the recovery of a Philip Rivers fumble in the end zone for a touchdown.  Rivers had a big day completing 24 of 33 for 240 yards and 3 touchdowns.

The Bills drop to 5 & 8 and officially are out of the playoffs for the 12th straight year.

The Bills host Miami next week.
