The Buffalo Bills are starting the new year with another new regime.  With the firing of Chan Gailey came the hiring of Syracuse head coach Doug Marrone.  Now coach Marrone is making quick work of filling his staff.

The Offensive Coordinator vacancy was filled yesterday with former Syracuse University OC Nathanial Hackett.  Like Marrone, Hackett is another product of the Syracuse orange and blue.  He is also the son of former college and NFL coach Paul Hackett.

Today, ESPN is reporting that the Bills have secured the other side of the ball by filling Mike Pettine into the Defensive Coordinator role.  Pettine comes from the division rival New York Jets where he was the DC from 2009-2012.  His contract expired with the Jets this year and he agreed to join the Doug Marrone staff of the Bills for 3 years.
