The Buffalo Bills are working early to get their roster in order for next year by resigning a key defensive player to a one-year contract extension.  It assures that veteran linebacker Lorenzo Alexander will be on the field for the Bills again next year.

Alexander finished the 2018 season with 6.5 sacks and a career high two interceptions.  The Bills signed him to a free-agent contract in 2016 and he finished with 12.5 sacks, the third most in the NFL that season.  Alexander along with Bruce Smith are the only Bills in team history to record sacks in seven straight games.

He was a free-agent when he was signed by the Bills in 2016.
