Last week we heard that Wal-Mart was getting a jump on Black Friday by opening their doors on Thanksgiving night at 8pm.  Now others have followed suit.  Retailers like Sears and Target have decided to capitalize on the Thursday night shopping hours by opening at 8 or 9 on Thanksgiving night.  I have never been one to rush to the stores on Black Friday let alone on the holiday itself, but many find this beneficial for their holiday shopping saving.  It’s hard to believe that next week is Thanksgiving already and those of you venturing out for Black Friday sales had better get rested up, oh and you may want to move up your dinner time if you’re planning on heading out Thursday night.   So when will stores be open for Black Friday sales?  Here are the larger retailer hours:

Wal-mart – 8 p.m. Thanksgiving day

Sears – 8 p.m. Thanksgiving day

Target – 9 p.m. Thanksgiving day

Toys R Us – most stores opening at 8 p.m. Thanksgiving day

Best Buy – midnight Black Friday

Macy’s – midnight Black Friday

Kohl’s – midnight Black Friday

Staples – 5 a.m. Black Friday

JC Penny – 6 a.m. Black Friday
