Does it feel like this year is moving very quickly?  Maybe it's because we haven't even gotten through one holiday before we are already prepping for the next one...

I read an article this morning that said that Black Friday Deals will be starting very, very soon.

What?

Black Friday?  The last day of summer was Friday.  As I write this, Christmas is 3 months away from tomorrow.  We haven't even gotten to Halloween, much less Thanksgiving, and we are already talking about deals starting for a day to get ready for Christmas?

I mean, don't get me wrong.  I love Christmas.  But why are we in such a hurry to get there?  I haven't even closed my pool yet!

If it feels like time is slipping by, it might just be because we are letting it do just that.  We are moving on to the next thing before the first thing has even come.

Back to school sales start in July.

Pumpkin spice is hitting the shelves before the Erie County Fair is over.

Now, Halloween isn't even here and we are getting ready for Black Friday.

Watch...before Christmas even comes, Valentine's gifts will be on the shelves.  And don't even get me started on the Oktoberfests that are going on in September!

Maybe I'm just getting old and realizing how fast time really does go.  Is it just me?  Or do we need to slow down a bit?

Even if you are a big shopper and can't wait until the sales start, BestBlackFriday.com recommends you wait.  Don't jump on the first big sales you see.

"We recommend waiting until at least the second week of November to really starting shopping, and even then you should exercise caution,"
