Blake Shelton's forthcoming album is one of the most anticipated country releases of 2016. While he's been vocal about the honesty of this next record, not much has been revealed until earlier this week, when Shelton posted a picture of himself in the studio with the Oak Ridge Boys.

"Tonight was literally magic... Thank you @oakridgeboys!! What an honor. So excited about my album!!!" he writes on Twitter.

The Oak Ridge Boys were just as thrilled as Shelton, as they also shared a photo from the studio. Duane Allen emphasized his excitement by captioning his photo in all caps. "IT WAS PARTY TIME WITH BLAKE WHEN WE RECORDED WITH HIM THIS WEEK."

Shelton has been open in interviews, stating that his tenth record won't shy away from details of his divorce in 2015 from Miranda Lambert.

“I’ve written more than I’ve written in 15 years, for obvious reasons — all the awful things that have happened in my personal life — but the way the year ended is also the greatest of my life,” Shelton tells Country Countdown USA. “I want to get it out there. It’s driving me nuts to not be already into that project because it’s all I’m thinking about.”

The couple divorced after four years of marriage in July, and Shelton says that he's been getting through it by throwing himself into his music.

“I’m doing what I’m supposed to do, and that’s put all I’ve gone through and put it into music, and I never felt more connected to a record before. When people hear this record, they may not know what happened to me, but they’re gonna know how I felt about it. And that’s exciting for me, to just lay it out there for people.”

We can only hope Shelton will have some new songs in the set when he headlines on June 18 at Country Jam in Grand Junction, Colo.
