Service on Buffalo's Metro Rail trains was shut down for several hours Wednesday afternoon after a body was found on the tracks.  Trains in both directions between the University Station and the Allen-Medical Campus were completely stopped forcing the NFTA to provide shuttle buses along Main Street.

The NFTA says the body was found between the Utica and the Summer-Best Stations at about 1:45.  Metro Rail was able to manage to provide service on a single track by 4:30 and by 6:30 complete service was restored.

But during those hours service was affected it created havoc for people trying to get home from work or school.  NFTA Police say it appears the victim entered the Summer-Best Station, directly went to the track bed and was struck by a train.
