Books For Kids Community Donation Drive Begins April 1st

The annual books for kids community donation drive begins runs this April 1st through the 30th. The Books for Kids campaign started in 1995 and was founded by local educators and distinguished professors Dr. Geraldine Bard and Dr. Elizabeth Cappella of Buffalo State College.

Buffalo's New Country along with WGRZ-Channel 2, Wegmans, the Buffalo & Erie County Public Library System are proud to carry on the tradition and support this awesome effort to get books into the hands of kids.

Community donation locations for this year’s drive are April 1 – 30 will be located at:

All Wegmans stores in Erie & Niagara counties
All 37 Buffalo & Erie County Public Libraries
All Dipson Theaters
All WNY Mattress Firm locations
All Raymour & Flanigan locations
The Buffalo News, corner of Washington and Scott Streets, Downtown Buffalo
Tom’s Restaurant, Sheridan Drive in Amherst

Clay and Liz from Buffalo's New Country, 1065 WYRK will broadcast live in support of the Books For Kids campaign on Friday, April 20th at the Wegman's on Sheridan Drive.
