In a city mainly known world-wide for chicken wings and snow there really is something else that happens in Buffalo - it gets hot in the summertime.  On Saturday afternoon we eclipsed a 125-year old record when the temperature rose to 95 degrees at the Buffalo National Weather Service station at the Buffalo-Niagara Airport.

The old record set in 1887 was one of the longest standing temperature records since record-keeping began in the early 1870's.

That's the second day in a row we hit 95, both new record highs.

For people who decided late last year or early this year to install pools in their backyards, they're looking like Einsteins.  Is there anything more convenient on a hot, humid day than to step outside your back door and take a dip in your own pool?
