The Olympics started yesterday for athletes competing in women's soccer. Several matches took place across Brazil including the United States. The women took on New Zealand in their first (of hopefully many) games on their road to gold! However, their 2-0 victory over the All Whites may have not been the biggest storyline to come out of the match.

As the game went on it became more noticeable that the crowd was booing US goalkeeper Hope Solo every time the ball came into her possession.  The booing is not something new to Solo who has had what can be best described as a rocky past within the sport. However, the yelling of "ZIKA" is probably something new to her. Apparently the Brazilians took offense to a tweet Hope sent out before the team left for Brazil relating to how she was going to protect herself against zika.

Here is what the booing and yelling sounded like on the broadcast.

Here's another one:

So what was the tweet that offended some of the Brazilians?

There was also this one.

So what do you think? Were her tweets out of line?
