I've been trying new things for a few weeks now based on your suggestions.  These are all things I've never done before.  When I started it up, my wife suggested I try some "non-traditional" things for guys such as massages, facials and manicures.  So this week I got them all done at the same time.  And I couldn't be happier that I did.

I've always agreed with the song from Brad Paisley called "I'm Still A Guy."  In the song he mentions guys lining up to be neutered and even specifically calls out the ones getting facials and manicures.

I get it.  It's not the "manly" thing to do.  So as you can see in the video, I was really reluctant when The Seneca Niagara Casino Spa invited me to come up for a spa package including a massage, a facial, and a manicure called the "King For A Day" package.

But I thought, "What the heck, give it a try!  You said you'd do pretty much whatever people suggested as long as it wouldn't kill you or ruin your life."

So I did...

I had every intention of filming the whole thing but honestly was waaaay too relaxed to do it.  I kept thinking, "I better get a video of this" and then thinking, "Nah...nevermind...this is way too good to not just enjoy."

I started out with a massage from Diane and it was incredible.  When she said I was all done, I didn't want to move.  I have a whole new respect for massage therapists.  It was without a doubt my favorite service!

I had a misconception of facials.  I didn't know what to expect really.  She asked me what kind of creams I use and I responded, "nope."  I thought you just go in and they put some lotion on your face and then they wash it off and you get up and leave.  I was wrong. I didn't realize the work that went into it.  Michelle took over this part and she was great.  This was an in depth facial.  There was a shoulder massage and hand massage included too.

Then I had the pleasure of meeting Maxine.  She asked if I had ever had a manicure and I laughed and said no.  She was great.  She's been doing it for years and it showed.  She was very personable and friendly and she did a great job.

All in all, I understand that lots of guys have a hard time putting their guard down for a little bit and just enjoying it for what it is, but if you can, it's totally worth it.  I honestly felt like a million bucks walking out of there that day and couldn't recommend it enough.  The staff were all incredible from the moment we walked in the door until we were walking out and I can't wait to get up to see them again.  It was like vacation for a couple hours right here in New York.

You want to be a real man?  Don't let other men tell you what to do with your life.  Make your decisions on your own and do what makes you happy.
