It's so hard to believe that I've lived in Western New York for almost 40 years and I've never been to the Broadway Market.  It’s true.  But that changed this weekend.

I finally made my first trip to one of Buffalo’s best pieces of culture.

The Broadway Market is full of polish tradition.  You’ll find it all there from polish kielbasa, to pierogi and everything in between.

If it’s desserts you’re looking for, you’ll get lots of those too.  There are tons of bakeries there with delicious stuff to fill your face.

One of the first things I noticed when I walked in was that it seemed everyone was giving away free samples!  So if there was something that you wanted to try, all you had to do was ask.

So I did.

And I asked a lot.  I was full when I left there for a couple reasons.  The first reason was the “Napoleon” that I ate.  It was a puff pastry that was layered with boston cream and whipped cream then drizzled with icing and chocolate.  I apologize for being rude but I wasn’t going to wait to eat it.  I had to dig in right away.  Unfortunately I didn’t have a utensil and really could have used one.  You’ll see how that turned out.

Just how many free samples did I get?  All of them.  These are the ones that my buddy got on video.
