One of the best parts of my job is helping non-profits that make a huge difference in our community, so I wanted to make sure you heard about an upcoming event benefitting the Buffalo Autism Project.

From 1-6 p.m. July 21, Hamburg Brewing Company (one of my favorite local beer makers) will host the Missing Piece BrewFest, complete with the Tim Britt Band, food trucks, more than 75 basket raffles and lawn games. Admission tickets are $10 pre-sale and $15 at the door, and Hamburg's best-selling beers will be offered for $6 each or three for $15.

The event is designed to spread awareness about the Buffalo Autism Project, which just hosted a resource fair in April with over 40 service providers and more than 200 individuals connected to Autism Spectrum Disorder. They also host smaller information sessions and play nights throughout the year; Buffalo Autism Project was founded in July 2017.

"My son Cameron was diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder right after his second birthday," said organizer Laura Moeller. "Realizing there are endless therapies, resources, and support, myself and a board member thought it would be beneficial to have everyone in one place to see the abundance of resources available to them."

And, of course, fundraisers are important for keeping these types of events free and accessible to the whole community.

They've made it easy for you to buy tickets online. (And if you can't go but want to support them, go ahead and purchase a few tickets as a donation.)

Want to keep the event on your calendar? Here's the Facebook event link.

Hamburg Brewing Company has one of the best patio views in Western New York! Delicious beer, great music and a great cause is exactly why I think you should grab your tickets for this great event!
