Tom Brady made a miraculous recovery of an alleged ankle injury to shred the Buffalo Bills supposed vaunted defense for four touchdown passes to rip the Bills 37-22 in Terry Pegula's first game as owner of the Bills.  With all the excitement of the past week as Pegula was officially confirmed as the team's new owner, it was a bitter disappointment for a sellout crowd that expected a whole lot more from the Bills.

The Bills problems started early with the defense's inability to figure out Brady.  Brady finished 27 of 37 for 361 yards and four touchdown including throws of 43 and 56 yards for scores.

One of the biggest differences in this game was the turnovers.  The Bills had 3 that the Patriots converted into 13 points.  The Patriots had none.  Bills coach Doug Marrone says they just can't expect to win with that many turnovers -

And the Bills further hurt their chances with numerous penalties in crucial situatons....unsportsmanlike conduct, roughing the passer, offensive pass interference.  You can't make all those mistakes and expect to beat a team that doesn't beat itself.

Kyle Orton passed for 299 yards, but he threw an interception and lost a fumble deep in Bills territory that the Patriots used to kick a field goal just before the half.

Tight end Scott Chandler caught 9 passes for 105 yards - the first Bills tight end with over a hundred yards in receptions since Pete Metzlaars.  He too talked about the turnovers spelling the difference in the game -

Bills defensive tackle returned to the lineup after missing a game.  He says they have to improve their play in the first half -

The Bills drop to 3-3.  They host Minnesota next week.
