Several assistant coaches had already left the team to take positions with other teams including offensive coordinator and interim head coach Anthony Lynn who was hired as head coach of the Los Angles Rams.

Also finding jobs elsewhere were tight ends coach Tony Sparano, defensive line coach Jason Rebrovich and receivers coach Sanjay Lal.

Buffalo Bills Head Coach Sean McDermott met individually with each of the previous assistant coaches as he continues to build his staff.

Under Rex Ryan the Bills led the league with 28 assistant coaches.
