With a new coach whose offensive philosophy focuses on a strong running game, the Buffalo Bills are making moves to accomplish that.  There's word the Bills are trading linebacker Kiko Alonso to the Philadelphia Eagles in exchange for star running back LaSean McCoy.

McCoy was third in the NFL in rushing yards in 2014 with 1,319 yards.  He led the league with 1,807 rushing yards in 2013 and added 52 catches for an additional 539 yards.  He's described as a more durable version of C J Spiller and a year younger.

Alonso is coming off major knee surgery last year and is said to have asked for a trade. Heading to the Eagles he'll be reunited with his college coach Chip Kelly.  The trade won't become official until the start of the new league "year" beginning March 10th.
