On the one year anniversary of his passing at the age of 95, the Buffalo Bills announced on Wednesday that they intend to erect a statue of former team owner Ralph C. Wilson, Jr.  The statue will be displayed outside of Ralph Wilson Stadium in what will be known as Founder's Plaza near the Bills Store.

His wife, Mary Wilson said “It just seems so fitting to honor Ralph with a statue in Founder’s Plaza where fans will have the opportunity to interact and pose for photos. Ralph was so approachable and he absolutely loved the fans and he would have been honored and humbled to stand among them for all-time.”

he statue will be patterned after what Wilson usually wore to the stadium on game days.  It's based on a photo of him along the sidelines during a Bills game against the New York Jets in 1990.
