The Buffalo Bisons announced that they will be enhancing their security measures for the 2017 season. Beginning Opening Day (April 6, 2017) all spectator entrances will have walk-thru metal detectors.  This includes all fan gates, the entrance to Pettibones Grill and the center field pavilion. In addition, they have also added a no re-entry policy that states once inside the ballpark no one will be permitted re-entry, this also includes "anyone who wishes the leave the ballpark and the grounds around it to smoke or use tobacco-related products".

When stepping up to the gates and metal detectors fans will be required to remove only their mobile phones and cameras from their pockets before entering. It is also noted that fans may also be wanded by security after the walk-thru.

According to the Bisons, all previous fan policies will still be in place...

"All existing Coca-Cola Field carry-in regulations will continue in 2017 with a complete list of prohibited items available at Bisons.com. Fans will still be allowed to enter the ballpark with a 20 oz. factory-sealed plastic bottle of water and a single-serve portion clear plastic sandwich bag per person and a small juice box per child. All bags will be subject to search by ballpark security prior to entering the

ballpark."
