When many people think about retiring, they often think about heading south where it's warm and you don't have to shovel snow.  But this list says you might want to give the north east a try.

As a matter of fact, two of the top three cities in this list are in the north east.

The list was put together from BankRate.com and was based on multiple factors like health care quality; tax burdens; crime rates; living costs; weather; public transportation; cultural amenities (things to do); percentage of the population over 65; and the overall well-being of seniors, as measured by the Gallup-Sharecare Well-Being Index.

So where did Buffalo fall?  It was 47th on the list.

Not great, considering the study was done on the top 50 U..S. Metro areas.  But hey...we weren't 50th...right?
