In November of 2015 a 20-year-old Buffalonian murdered 42-year-old Antoin Vance inside of his home on Purdy Street in Buffalo, by shooting him with an illegal pistol after an argument over money.

The perpetrator, Leonard Robinson, a/k/a POODER, has been sentenced to 18 years to life in prison by State Supreme Court Justice Penny M. Wolfgang after pleading guilty to one count of Murder in the Second Degree, according to a press release from Acting District Attorney Michael J. Flaherty, Jr.

Robinson also shot and injured 24-year-old Dominique Jackson, Vance’s niece who was an innocent bystander. Jackson has since recovered.

While fleeing the scene of the shooting, Robinson drove a car off of Humboldt Parkway - crashing onto the lower section of the Kensington Expressway with the vehicle landing upside down.  He left the crash scene and was on the run for a month.

Robinson was taken into custody on December 29, 2015 in Los Angeles, California, where he was located through the joint effort of the US Marshalls Service and Buffalo Police Department.
