The Buffalo Niagara Medical Campus does so many good things for the Western New York community. On Saturday, May 6, they held a Student Open House where local parents and students came to the campus to learn about some of the exciting medical innovations going on at BNMC and Roswell Park Cancer Institute.

Over 100 students toured the Buffalo Niagara Medical Campus. While visiting Roswell Park students wrote thank you cards to Roswell Park nurses for National Nurses Day, and participated in demonstrations about flow cytometry and genetic testing. Students also toured The Applied Technology Laboratory for Advanced Surgery (ATLAS Lab) where they were able to practice laparoscopic surgical techniques and test the robotic surgery simulator. In attendance at the event were students from the Yroswell Street Team, who distributed information about cancer that specifically relates to teenagers and lead tours through the new Scott Bieler Clinical Sciences Center up to the ATLAS Lab.
