The last time the Buffalo Sabres won a game in a shoot-out was back in October when they beat Toronto.  Since then the Sabres had lost six straight shoot-outs until Monday night when they beat the Leafs again.  Sam Reinhart's shoot-out goal was the difference as Chad Johnson stopped all three Toronto shooters to clinch the 4-3 victory.

Up until about halfway thru the third period the Sabres had put in an abysmal performance.  They gave up the first goal to Toronto after only 25 seconds and fell behind 2-0 and 3-1 before the Sabres started playing for real in the third period.

Jack Eichel's 20th goal of the season brought the Sabres to within one and Evander Kane's 19th tied it forcing overtime and the shootout.  Mark Pysyk's first goal of the season in the second period cut the Leafs lead in half 2-1.

Chad Johnson stopped 30 of 33 shots and all three shots in the shoot-out to pick up the win.  The Sabres victory ended a 6-game losing streak in Toronto.

The Sabres are back home Tuesday night to host the New York Rangers.
