Four points out of the final playoff spot with five games left to play and some of the Sabres still believe they can make the playoffs.  That's what they say publicly anyway.  Their chances are miniscule, but if they had played most of the season like they did in back to back games over the weekend they'd likely be in the thick of it.

The Sabres followed up Saturday's 1-0 shutout of Philadelphia with a 3-1 win over Tampa Bay on Sunday.  Jonas Enroth was in goal for both games making 29 saves over the Flyers and stopping 33 shots against the Lightning.

Tyler Ennis scored on the power play in the first period off a sweet feed from Thomas Vanek to give the Sabres the early lead.  Jochen Hecht and Kevin Porter made it 3-0 in the second period before the Lightning finally figured out Enroth.  Enroth says just keeping it simple was the key over the weekend.

Ennis agrees, but also gives credit to Enroth.

The Sabres have a tough one in Boston coming up on Wednesday.
