Finally, somebody other than Tyler Ennis and Drew Stafford found the back of the net for  the Buffalo Sabres.  Cory Conacher scored his first two goals in a Sabres uniform and assisted on the clinching goal in the Sabres 3-1 win over the Edmonton Oilers.

The Oilers opened the scoring with a first period power play goal, but Conacher tied it with a deflection off a shot by Jamie McBain in the second period.  Conacher scored again early in the third to put the Sabres in front, then set up Stafford for an insurance goal to finish with a 3-point night.

Matt Hackett got his first start in goal for the Sabres to become the fifth goaltender to play for Buffalo this season.  He finished with 36 saves.

The Sabres continue their western road trip on Sunday at Vancouver.
