The Buffalo Sabres scored two power play goals to build a 2-0 lead and held on for a 2-1 win over the Red Wings in Buffalo's final game at Joe Louis Arena in Detroit.  Jack Eichel scored his ninth power play goal of the season, Matt Moulson scored his 11th.

With the two power play goals the Sabres took over the league-lead going 2 for 2 with the man advantage.  Defenseman Rasmus Ristolainen also took over the league-lead with 24 power play assists.

Buffalo's penalty kill also did well.  They killed off all four Red Wings power plays as they beat Detroit for the third straight game and finish the season 3-0-1 against the Wings this season.

Robin Lehner stopped 34 shots, 18 of them coming in the third period as the Sabres won their second straight game for the first time in a month.

The Sabres are right back at it again tonight when they host the Pittsburgh Penguins.
